I won't lie, it's been nice a quiet around here since he left. The house has pretty much remaind clean, I haven't had to do so much housework. It's been quiet at night - no arguing - so pressure.
He comes back today...sometime in the evening...which means piles of smelly laundry that will be heaped on the kitchen floor, reeking of fish and driving the pets crazy. It means dishes coming in from the trailer, sheets to be changed, and a garden view blocked by a trailer parked in the driveway again.
And it means the "issues" are coming back.
But. Yes...there's a "but." I'm glad he's coming home. I miss him when he's gone...after the first day or two. I miss his twisted humor and his warmth at night.
I don't miss his snoring or the fights. But, I love my husband enough to keep trying.
So today, I'll continue reading my current book and continue writing in my sex journal (see the sidebar for links). And I'll get the house ready for his return. I'll pick up my son from grandma's, and I'll try to relax as best I can.
After all, it's a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest. Best to remember that.
